UNC lands LB Norkeithus Otis, welcomes back Jamal Womble
Posted Nov 7, 2010
UNC added two commitments but only increased its total by one. The Tar Heels landed Norkeithus Otis, a four-star linebacker who picked UNC over Duke, Georgia Tech, Florida and LSU. UNC also welcomed back running back Jamal Womble. Womble had previously left UNC to go to junior college at Hutchinson (Kans.) Community College. He now plans to re-enroll in January. Meanwhile, UNC quarterback recruit Everett Golson has decided to look around, so his status has been changed to a “soft verbal” by Scout, which means he’s off our commitment list for now.
