UNC looking for running backs
Posted Nov 8, 2010
While discussing the deep pool of running backs that Saturday’s opponent Virginia Tech can pull from, UNC coach Butch Davis jokingly slipped back into NFL mode. “We want to see if we can work a swap out,” Davis said. “Maybe we could give them a future draft choice and see if we can borrow one.” Given the Tar Heels’ recent rough luck with the running back spot, there are likely some in powder blue who wish it wasn’t a joke.
