History shows that Carolina Basketball rivalries have waxed and waned. But one school has managed to maintain a consistent—and ferocious—presence on the list of most hated UNC opponents: Duke University. In addition to overcoming NC State, Frank McGuire also had to stop a disturbing trend against the Blue Devils. By the mid-1950s, Duke was riding a streak of 10 victories in 11 tries against Carolina.
