Norkeithus Otis makes quiet commitment to Tar Heels
Posted Nov 10, 2010
Minus the fanfare that is often associated with many major prospects, Gastonia's Norkeithus Otis announced his college choice Friday. Otis was introduced along with other classmates during Ashbrook High School's "Senior Night'' festivities prior to the regular-season finale. As is the custom during such ceremonies, each player is escorted onto the field while the public address announcer reviews his prep honors and tells of his future plans. Unknown to almost everyone at Ashbrook Stadium except the P.A. announcer, Otis had decided to play for the Tar Heels.
