Fog Of Expectation Envelops Harrison Barnes

When word came that Tar Heel freshman Harrison Barnes was named first-team preseason All-America, it brought to mind an old Sports Illustrated magazine cover and Dean Smith's reaction to it. The cover was published on March 2, 1987, a time of year when coaches are apt to proclaim that freshmen aren't freshmen anymore. Most coaches, anyway. Dean Smith wasn't given to proclamations about freshmen. (Tar Heel Blue)
