Friday night may have marked the much-anticipated regular-season debut for UNC freshman Harrison Barnes, but it sure looked like a new beginning for sophomore John Henson, too. Henson’s not-quite triple-double – 10 points, 17 rebounds, 7 blocks – was a bright spot in No. 8 UNC’s otherwise choppy-looking 80-66 season-opening victory against Lipscomb.
