Marquise Williams wavering on UNC commitment?
Posted Nov 14, 2010
Despite the scandals, UNC’s committed recruits, including Daquan Romero, largely have remained firm. But one possible waver is quarterback Marquise Williams of Charlotte, N.C., who three weeks ago officially visited Virginia Tech and attended the Hokies’ rout of Wake Forest. He pledged to the Tar Heels in July but as the NCAA issues broadened visited not only Tech but also Michigan. Williams is also considering LSU and N.C. State, according to Rivals.com. His visit to Tech coincided with that of quarterback Lafonte Thourogood. Sources say the Hokies are willing to sign both.
