Cornerback Alex Dixon picks North Carolina

North Carolina lost a game Saturday, but won over Countryside cornerback Alex Dixon. Despite witnessing a 26-10 loss to Virgina Tech, the Cougar senior verbally committed to UNC before heading back to Clearwater to prepare for this week's playoff game, according to Countryside coach Jared Davis. Dixon, who has 28 tackles and two interceptions this season but is rarely thrown at, picked the Tar Heels over the likes of Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee, West Virgina and USF.
