I’ve never thought of Chuck Amato as an X and O genius, but he used to often talk about running a play “until they stop us.” It seemed like a corny cliché at the time, but there is much wisdom in the words of The Chest. Case No. 1: Anthony Elzy carries the ball 10 times during UNC’s first three drives, which net a total of 10 points. Elzy carries the ball just 8 times during UNC’s next seven drives, which net 0 points.
