Pack adds 2 recruits, Tar Heels 1

N.C. State added two big defensive linemen to its 2011 football recruiting class, and North Carolina landed a defensive back yesterday for its second commitment in two days. Headed to Raleigh are Carlos Gray, a 6-4, 320-pound tackle from Birmingham, Ala., who is attending Oak Ridge Military Academy, and McKay Frandsen, a 6-3, 247-pound end from American Fork, Utah, who is attending Snow Junior College in Ephraim, Utah. UNC landed Alex Dixon, a 6-1, 185-pound cornerback from Clearwater, Fla. N.C. State’s has 10 known commitments, and UNC has 21.
