North Carolina led division leaders Virginia Tech and N.C. State in the second half in consecutive weeks but couldn't close out either game. Given the amount of emotion a depleted Tar Heels team has spent each week on the field, and with the ongoing NCAA investigation, it has been difficult to maintain their effort, senior quarterback T.J.
