Tar Heels hold off UNC-Asheville

UNC Asheville put a scare into No. 25 North Carolina before the Tar Heels rallied late for an 80-69 win Tuesday night at the Smith Center. The Bulldogs whittled a 22-point deficit to six points in the second half, but couldn’t get any closer despite forcing UNC into 19 turnovers. Despite struggling offensively, the Bulldogs (2-2) stayed within striking distance. (Asheville Citizen-Times)
