Tar Heels slog past UNC-Asheville


The funk that enveloped North Carolina during its recent Puerto Rico trip appears capable of having a disconcerting shelf life. Returning home to familiar surroundings and playing a lesser opponent Tuesday night provided little refuge for the 25th-ranked Tar Heels. The immediate result was an 80-69 victory against UNC Asheville in far-from-soothing fashion at the Smith Center. (Gaston Gazette)
