The number of in-state players committed to North Carolina remaining in the state playoffs has dwindled considerably over the past few weeks, and did again this week with quarterback and his Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek teammates dropping a heartbreaking 10-7 decision to Charlotte’s Vance High, and and his Kannapolis Brown squad’s 45-7 setback to undefeated Charlotte Catholic that ended their respective seasons.
