No. 20 Illinois beats North Carolina, 79-67
Posted Dec 1, 2010
UNC’s backcourt was supposed to be its strength this season after the Tar Heels lost big men to graduation, the NBA and transfers. But in Tuesday’s game against No. 20 Illinois in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge the Tar Heels’ guards struggled to control the ball, score and play defense, as the Illini rolled to a 79-67 win at Assembly Hall. It’s the third loss for UNC, which faces No. 10 Kentucky on Saturday.
