It’s hard to fly with a baby grand strapped to your back. Preseason All-American? National Player of the Year? Are you serious? He’s 18, for pity’s sake. No teenager, let alone Harrison Barnes, could live up to those expectations with a straight face. In our 1-button, instant-gratification society, of all the sports in the land, basketball is the most notoriously impatient.
