4. Harrison Barnes, UNC (11.4 ppg, 5.9 rpg): Barnes carried the loftiest expectations of any ACC freshman since Ralph Sampson chose Virginia. So far he has yet to live up to his billing, but he is a freshman and national player of the year expectations were a bit ridiculous to begin with. Still, Barnes is the second-leading scorer for UNC and should continue to get better. (ACC Sports Journal)
