John Henson's thumb hurting

North Carolina sophomore John Henson played only 19 minutes – including 6 in the second half – during his team's 96-91 victory over Long Beach State because because his right thumb, which he sprained before the Nov. 30 Illinois game, continues to bother him. With a week until the Tar Heels play again, coach Roy Williams said it will be good to give the lefty’s hand a rest. (Raleigh News & Observer)
