Darien Rankin always amazes

Darien Rankin showed what a remarkable athlete he is one more time on Wednesday. Just four days removed from the football field where he was instrumental in Salisbury’s 2AA championship run, Rankin scored 20 points to help beat West Rowan. Already a 1,000-point scorer, the senior is almost a sure bet to climb to No. 3 on the Hornets’ all-time scoring list behind two really big names — Bobby Phillips and Bobby Jackson. (Salisbury Post)
