UNC trustees see need for NFL help


Though they concede coach ultimately is accountable for problems within UNC's football program, several university trustees say the NFL should take a tougher stance with sports agents who tempt college athletes with the promise of riches. "I'm not sure you can fix the agent thing," said Eddie Smith of Greenville, N.C., one of six North Carolina trustees who agreed to discuss the university's handling of the NCAA football investigation.
