Every time Leslie McDonald shoots the ball, UNC coach Roy Williams believes it will go in. But perhaps more importantly: so, now, does McDonald. The reserve shooting guard’s four 3-pointers during UNC’s 103-54 victory over St. Francis (Pa.) on Sunday was just his latest high-swishing effort in a turnaround that has seen him go from doubting his shot as a freshman to being uber-confident this season.
