Missed chances haunt Cavaliers in UNC's 'ugly' win

The Cavaliers, who led by 11 points following Jontel Evans' 3-pointer with 14:25 remaining, made only two field goals over the next 13-plus minutes and lost 62-56 to North Carolina. Virginia, which trailed 58-56 after UNC freshman hit 1 of 2 free throws with 28.8 seconds left, had a shot to tie the game but Evans was unable to convert a driving layup in traffic. (Roanoke Times)
