Posted Jan 11, 2011
UNC has five new football players, as former Jordan High star T.J. Thorpe leads a group of recruits who started class Monday with the rest of the student body. Marquise Williams, Landon Turner, Travis Riley and Thorpe all graduated from high school early, while Sylvester Williams transferred from Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College. Thorpe is an athletic player who played offense, defense and returned kicks for the Falcons, but he is expected to play wide receiver at UNC.
