Eagles going in wrong direction

The Boston College retreat in the ACC standings continued at home last night. North Carolina handed the Eagles their third straight conference loss with a 106-74 pasting before 7,883 at Conte Forum. The Tar Heels (16-5, 6-1) have won nine of their last 10 games, while BC (14-8, 4-4) allowed 100 points for the first time since an overtime loss to Notre Dame on Jan. 25, 2003. (Boston Herald)
