On their way to a 106-74 beat-down of the home team, the Tar Heels laid claim to something they’d been building toward for the last month, having gone 6-1 in January. “I thought they played one of the best games they’ve played in awhile,” said BC coach Steve Donahue in a major understatement. Donahue came in thinking he could zone up the Heels, that his guys could blow by them. In fact, nothing he or his players did worked.
