UNC’s Zeller named first-team Academic All-America

Shortly after Roy Williams signed Tyler Zeller to play basketball at North Carolina, the Hall of Fame coach handed his new young center a list of goals he thought he could accomplish while in school. Among them was earning Academic All-America honors. Tuesday, the 7-foot junior crossed that goal off his list by becoming the eighth Tar Heel – and first since Eric Montross in 1994 – to named a first-team Academic All-America.
