In recent years, as Carolina has built an overwhelming edge in the series against NC State--after Wednesday's 75-63 victory, the Tar Heels have won 16 of the last 17 meetings (with 12 of those 16 wins coming by double figures), the most dominating stretch in series history by either side--the media has sometimes felt the need to educate Carolina players about the history of the rivalry.
