UNC wins ACC's regular-season title
Posted Mar 6, 2011
North Carolina completed a stunning recovery from a miserable 2010 season Saturday night by storming past Duke to win the ACC's regular-season title. UNC won 81-67 at the noisy Smith Center and led for the final 30:19. After building a 51-39 halftime lead, the Tar Heels held their ground in the second half behind tenacious defense and the smart, sharp play of freshman point guard Kendall Marshall.
