James McAdoo, Norfolk Christian win state title

James McAdoo, the Norfolk Christian star and North Carolina-bound forward, scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half, leading the Ambassadors to a 59-45 win over Middleburg Academy in the VISAA tournament championship game at Virginia State. A night after scoring a tournament-record 44 points in a semifinal win, McAdoo managed just four first-half points against Middleburg Academy (26-5) and missed a breakaway dunk. The Ambassadors (25-6), who won their 18th straight, trailed 24-23 at halftime.
