Previewing Miami


Top-seeded North Carolina tips off its 2011 ACC Tournament against ninth-seeded Miami at noon on Friday. The Tar Heels needed a 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds remaining to hold off the Hurricanes in the teams' only meeting this season. Frank Haith’s squad overcame an 11-point deficit in the final two minutes of regulation to force overtime and defeat eighth-seeded Virginia, 69-62, in opening round action on Thursday.
