Delvon Simmons' coach: He's not being recruited

After posting an entry on Thursday about UNC defensive lineman Delvon Simmons, his high school coach, Jim Ward, called to assure me nobody else has been recruiting Simmons. Ward said that no other schools have contacted Simmons, and none of them would even think about it until he's officially been released. Ward, who has been a designated spokesperson about all of this, said he still isn't ready to disclose the reasoning behind Simmons' request to be released from his scholarship. (ESPN.com)
