The Tar Heels, unloading 18 minutes of dominating, destructive play in the first half, powered to a 93-62 win. They went on a 25-0 scoring run in the first half, forcing the Wolfpack to miss 18 consecutive shots. They were ahead 43-13 at halftime and never led by less than 26 points after halftime. Junior Marcus Ginyard said that the Tar Heels had one of those games in which everything was working precisely. (Winston-Salem Journal)
