UNC Releases Delvon Simmons

The University of North Carolina has released defensive lineman Delvon Simmons (McKeesport, Pa.) from his football national letter-of-intent (NLI). Simmons originally signed with the Tar Heels on National Signing Day, Feb. 2, 2011. “We have granted Delvon Simmons his release and allowed him to pursue other options,” head coach told reporters Wednesday prior to Carolina’s first spring practice.
