Tar Heels race past Blackbirds to advance


When 15th-seeded Long Island University tied second-seeded North Carolina midway through the first half of Friday's NCAA Tournament game, a murmur went through the crowd. But UNC didn't panic and turned to its post players to take advantage of their size, and , and combined to score 84 points to help the Tar Heels put away the pesky Blackbirds 102-87.
