Patrick Johnson turned in another quality start and the Tar Heel bats drove in 10 runs on 11 hits en route to a 10-4 series opening win over Virginia Tech (12-8) Friday night in Blacksburg, Va. Johnson improved to 4-0 on the year, while fellow senior Jesse Wierzbicki extended his career-high hit streak to 12 games with a three-run home run in the fourth inning.
