Eric Hoots plays key role for Tar Heels

Eric Hoots, 30, is the director of player relations and video coordinator at North Carolina, now in his sixth season after serving as a student manager. He has a key to the Smith Center, where UNC head coach Roy Williams’ is two doors down. Hoots is on a first-name basis with past and present Tar Heels stars and has been part of all of the storied program’s recent triumphs. He’s even helped cut down a net or two.
