Tar Heels hang on for 86-83 win

The long left arm of John Henson reached high on Sunday afternoon to knock down a pass at a critical time and help UNC defeat Washington in the third round of the NCAA tournament's East Regional. The Tar Heels won 86-83 at Time Warner Cable Arena by taking the lead in the final five minutes and withstanding a tense finish. Henson, a 6-foot-10 sophomore forward, delivered the defensive play of the game with 7.4 seconds left. (Winston-Salem Journal)
