Dexter Strickland’s heroic effort not enough

Dexter Strickland’s hand was nearly palming Brandon Knight’s face at this point. With less than four minutes to play in Sunday night’s NCAA East Regional final at the Prudential Center, it was anything Strickland could do to keep Knight from doing anymore damage. Possession after possession, North Carolina’s sophomore guard was forced to eye up one of the best dribble-drive scorers in the country.
