Center John Cannon narrows college choices
Posted Apr 7, 2011
Mountain Heritage senior John Cannon expects to commit to Georgia, North Carolina, Northwestern or Old Dominion sometime this month. All but the Tar Heels have offered the 7-foot center a scholarship, Cougars basketball coach Barry Johnson said Tuesday. If Cannon attends North Carolina, he would join Smoky Mountain senior Jackson Simmons on the team's roster as a preferred walk-on.
