J.J. Patterson heading to UNC
Posted Apr 9, 2011
Roanoke Rapids junior J.J. Patterson gave his verbal commitment Saturday to play football for the University of North Carolina in the fall of 2012. "I met with coach (Butch) Davis in his office and said I was ready to make my decision,” Patterson said. “I think UNC is the best fit for me.” Patterson said he made the college decision early so he could concentrate on his school work and get the recruiting process out of the way. Former Roanoke Rapids players Trase Jones (2007) and Kareem Martin (2009) currently play for the Tar Heels.
