Roanoke Rapids (NC) defensive tackle J.J. Patterson (6'4, 310) became the second commitment to the 2012 UNC football recruiting class on Saturday, joining Jacksonville, FL outside linebacker Shakeel Rashad. Patterson committed to Butch Davis after attending Saturday's spring game. Patterson looks to be a legitimate run-stuffer along the defensive line as evidenced by his junior season highlights:
