Duke's Bob Harris reflects on broadcasting career of long-time friend Woody Durham
Posted Apr 21, 2011
Bob Harris grew up in Albemarle, where his father worked in a cotton mill for 55 years. Harris was 10 when Woody Durham, who was one year older, moved to the area because his father had been transferred to work in the same mill. That was the summer of 1952. On Tuesday, Durham announced his retirement after 40 years of service at North Carolina as the voice of the Tar Heels.
