Miami hires Jim Larranaga as basketball coach

George Mason Basketball Coach Jim Larranaga, who reached the 2006 Final Four, has accepted an offer to be the next basketball coach at Miami, according to multiple reports and sources. Larranaga flew to Miami Monday morning and is believed to be meeting with UM President Donna Shalala, touring Miami's facilties, meeting players and going through the hiring process. (CaneSport.com)
