North Carolina guard Wayne Ellington took a few dribbles over halfcourt and launched one of the prettiest shots of the season, from 27 feet, hitting nothing but net at the halftime buzzer. His coach, Roy Williams, almost didn't see it. Williams was so disgusted at Kent State's late first-half rally in North Carolina's 90-61 win Wednesday night that he was walking toward the locker room with his back to the play.
