Patrick Johnson, Kent Emanuel give Tar Heels strong 1-2 punch against Stanford

UNC’s Patrick Johnson and Kent Emanuel were practically unhittable in their first starts of the NCAA tournament. Two more performances like that in this weekend’s super regionals against Stanford could send the Tar Heels back to a familiar destination: the College World Series. Johnson, a senior right-hander, hasn’t allowed a run in his last three starts dating back nearly a month.
