DeCock: Freshman leads Tar Heels to unexpected CWS trip

This may be the most unexpected of UNC’s five trips to Omaha over the past six years, and Kent Emanuel’s precocity is a big reason why. He started out a spot starter before becoming the Saturday starter, then became the first North Carolina freshman to win two postseason starts with six sterling innings in a 7-5 win to complete the sweep of Stanford on Saturday.
