UNC survived six consecutive games away from Chapel Hill and was able to maintain its hold on the nation’s No. 1 ranking. It wasn’t bothered by rabid crowds at Ohio State, Kentucky or Penn, and it wasn’t slowed when Tyler Hansbrough suffered a mild concussion at Rutgers. Today, North Carolina will deal with new adversity in a game against Valparaiso at the Smith Center at 7:30.
