When North Carolina's was in the eighth grade, he quickly realized basketball probably wasn't going to be in his future. The son of Vanderbilt basketball coach Kevin Stallings mostly had focused on that sport in his young athletic career, but he knew he lacked certain abilities to be successful on the next level.
