N.C. Pro Am league to miss out on prep talent

The fourth Pro Am summer basketball league, which begins at N.C. Central's McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium on June 30, will for the first time not include top high school boys players. A new NCAA regulation prohibits male high school players from participating because the event is held at a Division I facility. "I'm really disappointed some of the high school kids won't be able to participate," said Jerry Stackhouse, the former UNC and NBA player who is one of the Pro Am's founders.
