PG Recruit L.J. Rose regrouping after his UNC dreams fell through
Posted Jul 13, 2011
Although a proud product of Texas basketball, L.J. Rose’s dream always had been to wear Carolina blue. He wanted to be a Tar Heel. He saw himself running fast breaks for Roy Williams and being high-fived along Franklin Street afterward. He just didn’t move fast enough to bring that dream to life. North Carolina needed one point guard for its 2012 recruiting class, and Marcus Paige of Marion, Iowa, made up his mind and grabbed that available scholarship before Rose was comfortable making a decision.
